Brain-mush in petri dishes, growing colonies of bacterial heartache. Thudding, faltering organs hung for window-prisms: empty, useless, colorful, blinding. Sights interpreted on the tongue—tastes a cacophony of shrieks and murmurs and whispers and soft, soft moans—sounds every texture of I never loved you that can beat and scrape and stroke and press against the skin. This heart is a razored wheel and it will roll, cut through every memory of every food I've ever eaten, leaving me with nothing but bananas and the scent of dead flesh. 10.25.04
